Responsibilities:

The SSS is to perform duty of SSS as specified in the FMA (BOWEC) Regulation 25 (3&4). Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for the employees under his supervision and ensuring effective enforcement of the Safety and Health regulations. This includes but not limited to :

• Maintaining safe working conditions and good housekeeping conditions in all areas.
• Enforce the use of personal protective equipment such as safety harness, eye protection, protective gloves, safety shoes, etc. as requested by Project Rules and Government regulations.
• Correct any unsafe work practice of workers and any unsafe condition when observed or noted.
• Report to the Safety and Health Officer all accidents, near misses, incidents, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational diseases and assist the Safety and Health Officer in investigation.
• As a member of investigation team during investigating any incidents.
• Continuously monitor the work area for conditions which are likely to cause personal injury or property damage. When any unsafe condition is found, suitable action need to be taken to correct them immediately.
• Ensure that job hazards and safety procedures are explained to each employee before he begins his work.
• Work in close cooperation with Safety and Health Manager and SHO to eliminate and correct all unsafe practices and hazardous conditions that are observed.
• To monitor and supervise the sub – contractor’s work.

Qualification:

• Posses a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) registered with JKKP (Yellow Book).
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field and familiar with OSHA requirements and knowledgeable in safety practices.
• Experience in Construction Industry .
