Mr. Yong Zhen Lin

FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR

The founder of SLG Construction Sdn Bhd started the company in 2008 and has been in charge of it ever since. Since 2004, he has worked as a sales and design engineer for BlueScope Lysaght (M) Sdn Bhd in industrial construction. He was promoted to Brand Manager of the Southern Office in 2006. With his experience and market research, he founded SLG Construction Sdn. Bhd. in 2008 and began his new career. While working, he practises being a manager and a family man, as well as being balanced in family and business. He is also a person who is always willing to share to build a bright future together with his team.

Mr. Alvin Liong Yan Herng

GROUP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Appointed as company project director in 2016. He had been in industrial construction since 2004. He has over 17 years of industrial construction experience and has worked on numerous high-complexity projects, including high-rises, shopping complexes, industrial and mixed-use development projects.

Mr. Desmond Loo Chun Kok

CONTRACT DIRECTOR

Since 2017, served as the company’s contract director. When its 2005, he has worked in industrial construction. He had over 17 years of experience and had worked on numerous mixed-use and highrise projects. Desmond previously worked for GAMUDA in Johor on a large development project before moving on to another publicly traded company as a project manager for a one-block tower.

Mr. Alex Oh Kim Siong

FINANCE DIRECTOR

Enter SLG through the recruitment programme and manage to assist the entire finance and accounting systems in SLG until they are awarded by the government bank. Since 2019, he has served as the company’s finance director. Alex was previously the financial director of Hatten Group in Melaka, where he worked for 20 years in finance and industrial accounting before joining industrial construction and development in 2011 as finance controller and head of department of a publicly traded company.
He is also the member of Fellowship of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, FCCA) and also Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)

Mr. Gary Wong Jyi Horng

GENERAL MANAGER

He has been with SLG Construction Sdn Bhd since 2019, first as a contract manager, then as a business development manager, then as an assistant managing director, and finally as a general manager on January 2021. With his working experience since 2009 as project architect, he has been involved in numerous project developments, whether high-rise, mixed-use, or township planning, in Johor, including the Eco Botanic, SKS Pavillion, RNF Phase 1, and a lot of bungalow projects in Ledang High, Desa Farm, Yong Peng, and Batu Pahat.
